RAA/RCB Monthly Meeting Minutes
January 2009
Meeting came to order 6:10 pm
Members in attendance Wayne Amy Chuck Coy Alice Josh Craig Clay Mel Kevin Nancy, Absent: Howard, Becky, Steve
Last months minutes were read and passed.
Treasurers report: Check book has $1697.44 and the bathroom fund has $3939.64 $1500.00 was moved to reimburse the checking account for items paid for the Ruritan Bldg/bathrooms.
Report was passed
Comment was made about restitution/money that trickles in from the court. Amy to call Pat Davis about the balance.
John Weiss came and told us the cost of the insurance for the Players this year. The cost is $2,688.00 for all the teams. Needs to be paid to Babe Ruth by 2/1/09. Charters to be done by Amy On-line, contact Lauren Hill to process.
Equipment manager: Uniforms were discussed, Sew Fine Designs will be our uniform person this year and they will do the Spirit Wear. Teams will choose between MLB teams or a Rappahannock team name on their shirts. Motion was passed
Dominion has ignored request to reimburse money owed to the league from last seasons overpayments and sales. RAA/ RCB will no longer do business with this company. Motion was passed
Concession manager: Mel & Amy will be meeting with Schnecks Locks will be changed on the concession door Menu will be kept simple the phone will be made available on coaches side of the stand Mel to contact Chick-fil-a & Chilis in Culpeper for donations
Commissioners had no reports and no report was given from Fields.
Wayne discussed the fact that this is our 30th year Anniversary. On Opening Day coaches and players from past teams will be invited to Stuart and recognized. The Memorial Day Tournament will be called 30 Years of Baseball Bash age group TBD
Old Coaches need to bring in their books to the meeting, New Coaches will get books
At the District meeting we were given the 9U 11U & 13 Prep Tournaments.
Amy to order signs for sign ups
